The Japanese whaling fleet has not attempted to kill any more whales today following aggressive clashes between the Sea Shepherd ship Steve Irwin and the Japanese whaling fleet yesterday.

Japan was able to kill five whales yesterday, the only five whales taken in a week. Normally during this period they would be taking 8 to 10 whales per day.

The Steve Irwin remains firmly in place following the Japanese whaling factory ship Nisshin Maru. The three harpoon boats are in a line twelve miles forward with about five miles between each vessel. The Sea Shepherd helicopter has not observed them pursuing any whales.

"We lost some ground yesterday and we lost five lives to these butchers," said Captain Paul Watson. "We regained that ground today and the killing has once again been stopped. We're feeling pretty good about that."

Verehrter Paul Watson,

Bitte weiter. Bitte feste drauf!
